Jesus was distressed, sorrowful, and his soul was being crushed.  He wanted his Father to take the pain away, but still he submitted to his Father’s will.  His Father had to watch that cry from his beloved Son and turn his face away, because of his love for you and for me!  He sent Jesus to the cross because of his great love for mankind.  The cross was the only way to bring us freedom, to reconcile us and bring us to the presence of God.

As we see those physical locations he walked on his journey to the cross, it becomes real.  He really had to die for our sin.  He did it. It cost him everything.  Will you receive the gift of life he died to provide for you?  Will you give everything to follow him?
